Admin user can no longer read audio CDs10 Feb 2006 11:08 GMT2
I have a Powerbook G4, all software current to 10.4.4
If I try to insert a normal audio CD, I get a "can't recognize this CD"
error message. After poking around in the newsgroups, I saw a situation
where a user solved this by creating a new User ID.  So I did this, and

My abuser has been using the medical device to harass me the last 4-5
years. I have no idea what type of a device is being used on me. I
believe the device is only available to licensed pharmacist(s). I am
not very familiar with the intend usage of the device. As I understand,

Hacking OS 10.410 Feb 2006 00:41 GMT9
I have noticed a problem with disabling the registration ability for
software in OSX 10.4. In OSX 10.3 you just go into the application
support then the web floder and toss out the registration and .dll
files but, no files appear in the web folder when I upgraded.

Using music store downloads in iMovie09 Feb 2006 22:44 GMT3
I've searched the Apple site without being able to find any info about
the fair use of songs purchased from the music store. Specifically, I
want to use some songs in a non-commercial iMovie project. I've been
told that purchased music will show up in an iMovie project but
Application Switcher Question09 Feb 2006 22:14 GMT1
I tried this over at alt.sys.mac, and got no response. So I'll give it a try

When using Command-Tab to circulate amongst open applications, my OSX 10.4.4
Mac Mini seems to sometimes "forget" at least one of the open applications.

I have a 15" 800 MHz Titanium PowerBook with 512 MB RAM currently running
10.3.9.  It seems like it has been running slower and slower with each
additional update of 10.3, and it often gets really bogged down when two

I am running 10.4.4 on a G3 iMac.

of the license screens the process halts and this message is displayed:

Ack! The power to our G5/1.6 single-proc. tower got turned off while the

all scripts (that worked fine) and then to verify and repair
permissions; stopped 1/3 the way through and made no progress in 15
