My wife wants to use the Mac but hates the OSX 10.4 "popping dock"
thing.  I know I can move it around but how can I ditch, hide or disable
the dock?

I did a upgrade to Acrobat 7.0.7 on my OS X 10.4.3 system.  Now every time I
try to launch Acrobat it asked for the admin user name and password.  Any
idea what is going on here?  How can I fix it?

I just burned a CD composed of a playlist of purchased iTunes songs,
converted to AIFF songs, to create a regular audio CD.  The audio CD
plays just fine, but I have these weird effects:
The burned CD says it is "Read Only."  Unlike a retail CD, I can't copy

So, can I use a free VNC server and connect to it with the ARD client?

I have a Linux host connected locally to a Mac OSX 10.2.8 server and I
would like to know how to authorize any connection between the 2 while the
firewall would still control other intrusions attempts. The
Preferences window does not offer this type of setting.

I think Windows external drives will boot from USB, do not know whether
