After a hard drive failure and several days putting all the pieces back
in place, I see the need to make a full backup of my bootup hard drive.
It contains System Software (10.3.9 and 9.2.2) and my applications for
both systems. How do I make a copy of that Hard Drive that will be

Based on the Intego definition it is first "real" trojan effecting Mac
OS X. It has capability to distribute itself without user intervention.
IMHO we must help ClamXAv and Clam project to add definitons for this trojan.

Hi, I've recently bought Tiger and I am enjoying it very much, I do
however have an issue with the Dashboard.  When adding a widget to
the dashboard on other Macs, I loved the way it has the "water

i have recently bought a refurb imac g5. i really like it. here's my
question, though:
the new computer has an 80gb hard drive. my old imac g3 had a 40gb hard

I am looking for a way to print plain text to a file using 6.0.8.
Any one know if PrintToPDF will work with 6.0.8, printing to a pdf will
be be ok as well but what I really need is to a text file.

Hi all, as of the past week, my display will no longer go to sleep
according to my settings in "Energy Saver".  Right now I have it set to
sleep in 1 minute - but the display always remains active.  Is there a

iBook G4 10.4.5  I put things in a burn folder hit burn am then asked to
put in blank DVD  so I put in a FUGI DVD + RW but it spins the spits it
out. What am I missing? Never did this before. Thanks.

Well, I bought a new iMac Intel core duo and it started up fine.  But
when I was installing an external modem I inserted a CD, installed the

This may well be an issue/feature on all versions of Mac, but how do
you get the full file name for files with long file names to display
properly in finder when looking at files in list view?

I used firewire to transfer my G4 laptop to a MacMimi desktop; it looks
like some of my stuff just got dumped in a folder my my old computer
log in on it. My Documents are there. But no bookmarks transferred into
the new Safari, nothing is in my new Calender. Same for the add-on

i've had a 6360 performa for 9 years, not being a very demanding
computer user as you would guess...
i've recently decided to get a mac mini to step into the 21st century
and was wondering how to transfer my old files onto the mini.
