Backup up/transferring large iMovie files03 Jan 2006 19:06 GMT2
As a new Mac user I've messed up things on my new Powerbook G4 and want
to re-format/re-install everything on the hard drive. I've already
backed up all my files to DVD-RW and CD-RW but have problems with a few
iMovie files. There's 3 of them and they're around 5.5 Gbytes each, ...
What causes CPU-Activity every 12 seconds while Mac Mini is idle? 03 Jan 2006 15:52 GMT7
On my Mac Mini I usually have X Resource Graph running - just to have a
glimpse on anything going on on the system.
A couple of weeks ago - possibly after having installed a demo-version
of xSkyDesk - I noticed the system's CPU-usage going up to about 100%
Which G4?03 Jan 2006 15:51 GMT5
I am looking at getting a G4 tower and was wondering which model is the most
versitle and expandalbe. It seems as though the 133mhz bus models seem the
best way to go as comnpared with the older 350-500mhz models and the 166 bus
models are still a bit pricey.  I want to run OSX and ...
Setting up a 'newsreader' is impossible...03 Jan 2006 13:32 GMT19
For the past year I have wanted to get on usenet. I have downloaded

given up and trashed the newsreaders soon after opening them. I am on
OSX 10.3.9 and want to try again. Because I hate to admit defeat. I

My parents have a lot of trouble dealing with MS Windows and I'd like to

If you close a window, say the iTunes window, by clicking the red X (=

power shortage).

OSX won't stop asking for Keychain password03 Jan 2006 04:41 GMT4
Whenever I boot up my iMac G5 (running 10.4.3), a dialog box pops up
that keeps asking for my Keychain password. Now I know that by default,
the Keychain password is the same as the system password (I certainly
haven't changed it), but when this box pops up, it won't accept the
graphical directory space tool?03 Jan 2006 03:49 GMT9
Another switcher question.  I've been searching all over but can't find
a good program similar to Space (http://www.andyhsoftware.co.uk/space/)
for Windows.  It's a great program to see all files and folders,
showing, graphically, how big they are.  I use this all the time to
