Nikon View 6.2.7 crash problem with 10.4.307 Jan 2006 15:06 GMT5
I have recently encountered a problem with Nikon View.
I was using Nikon View 6.2.5 up until my recent upgrade to Mac OS X 10.4 and
finally 10.4.3. Once there I had occasion to use Nikon View and it crashed.
A quick look at the Nikon Canada support site indicated that Nikon View
selecting files - newbie question07 Jan 2006 13:35 GMT5
so I'm sitting here using a friends MAC while they are away, and I'm
trying to email a folder from the desktop to myself. It won't let me
select the whole folder, so I guess I need to select each file. My
question is, is there a way on a MAC to select multiple files, like
Equivalent of ctrl-shift arrow key on Mac07 Jan 2006 11:06 GMT1
Hi all, I'm a noob to the Mac community and have found that in many
cases for text processing you can replace the ctrl key with the apple
key.
One thing that doesn't seem to work, is to use the equivalent of
SuperDuper And A Damaged Directory07 Jan 2006 07:45 GMT14
I discovered that my G4 iMac internal hard disk has a corrupted
directory.  DiskWarrior can not fix the problem.  Currently, the drive
is fully usable and has not shown signs of either damaged or lost files,
or of speed degradation.  I realize that this is a ticking time bomb and ...
Making filename visible07 Jan 2006 05:44 GMT2
I created a zip archive on a Mac running OS X 3.5.1. It was copied
(using a USB mem stick) to another (much older) Mac running OS 9.2.
The name of the archive file does not show up in the OS9
directory, but a Find shows that it is there.

9 Things Your New iPod Can't Do
Yes, it does everything. But can it stop the crying? Measure Dick
Cheney's vileness? Read minds?

iSight iSucks06 Jan 2006 20:22 GMT12
I just bought a $129 FireWire iSight for my daughter for Christmas
and its photographic and video quality is so poor that I will
probably never buy another Apple gizmo as long as I live.
If it was any other company, I could return this piece of crap
Airport connecting to Linksys wireless network 06 Jan 2006 18:30 GMT3
Am attempting to have my PowerBook (with Airport card wireless) connect to a
home network Linksys G Base station.  Works fine without encryption, but can
not figure out proper encryption settings to make it work in a secure,
encrypted mode.
Is Apple making a game console?06 Jan 2006 17:56 GMT25
Well that would actually be: Is Apple making *another* game console....
their first was the Pippin of the mid 1990s which had a powerful
PowerPC 603 processor but lacked any hardware for 3D graphics which the
PlayStation and Nintendo64 had.  the Pippin bombed far worse than the
Can't get Setup Assistant off the dock06 Jan 2006 17:56 GMT2
I just finished upgrading my wife's iMac G5 to tiger using the DVD. I can't
get Setup Assistant off the dock - I can drag it up and the little cloud
appears on the icon, then when I let go, it drops back onto the
dock. Clicking on it gives me the setup assisant program with all menu
Almost duplicate filenames [Case (in)sensitivity problems]06 Jan 2006 17:12 GMT3
I have 20-some gigs of around 6500 files and folders that I need to move from a
Mini running 10.4 to an iBook running 10.3, and I've run into an interesting
problem...
10.4 is case-sensitive and 10.3 is only case preserving.  This means that I
iPod: best protective case?06 Jan 2006 17:10 GMT1
I couldn't find an iPod group and hope this question is ok here.  For a
30GB video iPod, what kind of case would best protect the unit's
internal mechanisms from damage if it were dropped accidentally? I've
seen leather cases, clear hard plastic cases, and rubbery cases.
