OK -- with fear and trembling I installed Tiger on my 128 meg G4, which
I've never upgraded from 9.1.  It went fine and booted up OK. (I'm

What is the file extension for utf-8 encoded text file ?
I try .text, .text, .txt but TextEdit open the file in plain text.
