I've been searing for a vga font for osx to use with the terminal to
eliminate ugly characters during ssh sessions. If anybody knows where to get
one I'd love to know. I usually use vga.pcf on my other systems (one fbsd

I bought a firewire drive to back up all users' data.
I made just one partition and unchecked "Ignore ownership".
However, any user can bring up the firewire drive and look at any files. Even
those she shouldn't have permission for.

I want to transfer some large (around 5.5 Gbyte) iMovie and iDVD files
from my Powerbook G4 to a PC for backup purposes, so I thought
compressing them would be a good idea in order to preserve their
contents/keep them within the Mac file-system and also save some disk-space.

Can anyone recommend any TRULY worthwhile Widgets, and list the source for
downloading them?
