Problems compressing/decompressing "Stuffit" files12 Jan 2006 01:11 GMT14
Because of transferring several iMovie and iDVD files from my Mac to a
PC (with the aid of a network) for backup purposes I thought compressing
them into single files (I just noticed that iMovie files are actually
folders with files inside of them, and not just single files) ...

i came across some rare 70s logo apple stickers with the original logo and
registration mark (6 color rainbow logo) that came with an old apple that
i purchased a long time ago, and i was wondering if you think i might be
able to sell them? there is one big one, and 2 small ones, ...

After ten years, my Starmax is running better than ever, but the
Classic Mac OS runs into more and more barriers on the web.  
To get ready for OSX, I bought a second-hand G4 from a big dealer.
One advantage was that I could use the disk from my present

Has anyone tried OnyX, MainMenu and/or any of the other maintenance
utilities with 10.4.4?
Are OnyX, MainMenu, etc. just GUI wrappers for fairly vanilla shell

I don't know if this is the appropriate group to ask this but I don't
know where else to ask. How do I put a Hyperlink in an image when a
mouse passes over without been needed to press the picture?

I ran the latest updater and after it finished wiping my IPOD The IPOD
is not recognized by the updater or the Systems software 2.0.1 install
program. All it does is flash the little icon asking you to plug an
adapter into the wall. I have always used the usb cable to recharge.

Background:
I have been using linux for over 6 years now and have been quite happy.
My major need was computing (matlab, python) and writing.

I have a rev2 B&W G3 350 MHz that I got second hand recently.  It was
working great up until yesterday when all of a sudden it just won't
power on.  Pushing the power button on the tower or the keyboard yeilds

installed the HP driver software on all three.
Both ibooks, when I open the Printer Setup Utility and go to add the

I have a Mac G3 running 10.3.9 currently.  I swapped out my CDRW with a
Pioneer DVR 106D DVRW.  I burned a couple of DVDs at a friends house on
a Mac using Toast on his DVR 109D.  Mounted fine on his machine.  When I
got them home and tried to read on my DVR 106D it doesn't mount ...
