My iMac G5 running OSX 10.3 takes 10 to 15 minutes to display the
desktop at startup after doing a software update.  I see don't know how
to troubleshoot this.  Are there logs to check for error messages?  Can
I back out the update?

A user (non-admin) logs in.  Then an admin logs in, using

I have a Hard Drive volume that is intended in part as an emergency boot

Bought my son an Ipod Mini for XMas. Everything loaded well and was
able to sync his music with ease. A few days later iTunes would not

I just bought a brand new IMAC G5 -- Tiger 10.4. I downloaded Firefox
into a user account, put it on the dock and it dissappers -- does it
every time I log out. Mail -- the program that comes with the MAC
disappears from the dock too. I have to reinstall firefox when I log
