My iMac G5 running OSX 10.3 takes 10 to 15 minutes to display the desktop at startup after doing a software update. I see don't know how to troubleshoot this. Are there logs to check for error messages? Can I back out the update?

Here's the situation: A user (non-admin) logs in. Then an admin logs in, using FastUserSwitching. Is it possible for the admin to kill all processes owned by the first user and log off said user?

I have a Hard Drive volume that is intended in part as an emergency boot drive, as well as for storing files. I just tried to repair permissions, but I was unable to. When I selected the volume, it said "No" in the enable permissions comment.

Bought my son an Ipod Mini for XMas. Everything loaded well and was able to sync his music with ease. A few days later iTunes would not launch cause there was a problem with Quick Time which I am having a hell of a time to remove so I can reinstall.
