Anyone have any idea why Software Update would stall on a Mac Mini
(prior to listing available updates)?
The Mac doesn't lockup, icon simply sits there spinning for 30+
minutes.

Please can I talk to the manager of this newsgroup ???

This is my first post to this group, I hope I can help someone in the
future and learn more about the MacOS plattform.
I'm new to this plattform, so if I ask something too newbie, please let

I was wondering is there an easy way to import all my mailboxes from
entourage into Apple Mail with out installing thrid party software. I
know you can import Apple Mail boxes to entourage but is there a way to
in reverse Thanks in advance for your help.

I am in the process of trying to replace  an LCD on a 17" iMac G4, and
it seems there must be some trick to releasing the LCD from the frame.
Does anyone know what this trick is? I'd like to remove it in the least

Hi there, wondering if anyone has any idea of what would make a french
ibook different from a regular english one? Is there physical different
keyboards? I have to buy one via futureshop.ca but they are sold out of
all their english 12" ones, although they do have a frrench model

Is it possible to move a window when the title bar has been  moved
beyond the edge of the screen?
Somehow my browser got moved so that the titlebar was beyond the top
edge of the screen and I could find no way of bringing firefox back

I want to broadcast copy a lot of files from a head node down onto
about 40 slave nodes, and also do some broadcast commands, such as
setting file permissions.  This is easy to do with the Apple Remote
Desktop GUI if I am in the building.  But from a long distance (e.g.

Having played around with my new Mac a bit too much (removed files I
