I have just installed OSX 10.0.2 on my iMac G3 333Mhz Lifesaver. I was

the effective address of the memory element (DAR) is always the same:
DAR=0x00000490.
Anybody know how to decipher where that memory element is? These crashes

I have a very strange problem with on of our  imac. It's starts up
completely normal, and when the desktop appears everything seems normal
for one second and the te screen turns into 16 colors and a very bad
resolution.

I've read over many of the threads on making a bootable backup (clone)
using a variety of methods.  Do any of them work over a network?  I
have in mind getting a firewire drive with enough capacity to back up
all three of my machines, all of which are connected by a wireless

I'm running 10.3.2, and my grandkids just gave be a retail copy of
10.4.3 they got from Amazon.
Any major (or minor) issues or problems upgrading?

Greetings all.  I'm new to Macs and need some help.  I work in
Information Technology but all of my experience comes from PC based
Windows systems.  I really love my mac mini (running OS X) and I'm
tempted to leave the Windows world forever.  Unfortunately I have a

bought a orange imac at a second hand store no cd nothing with it! it
has os 8.5 i think anyway how do  get internet on it????? dont know
anthing about macs can i burn music with it if i put an external burner?
it also has 92mb can I use aol????

I've got a 1 GHz G4 PowerBook running OSX 10.3.9 with an airport extreme
card in it.  It used to connect to my 802.11b net automatically.  Recently,
my WiFi net went down, and I ended up rebooting my hub (a SMC Barricade) to
get things back to normal.

I have not been able to resolve a problem with our print services under
OS X 10.3.9 Server.  I decided to reinstall the CUPS software.  However
upon installing, I get "no acceptable C compiler found in $Path".  Can
anybody recommend the complier to use and where I can download it?
