I got an old powerbook 5300c that is in good working condition. I have

Is there any way to download a patch (for instance, to a game), copy it
onto a flash drive, download it to a non-networked Macintosh, and have
it work? I've tried it twice, with two different games, and nothing

panther to tiger using the disk that came with my mac mini, but it said
the powerbook could not be upgraded - is it because the disk knows
where it came from, or is there something wrong with the powerbook?

I am thinking of buying a photo printer.
I do have access to a color laser printer, so this one will only be used
for photographs.

Every single time I press Command-TAB (to switch applications),
the following four messages appear in the system console log:

I am using a Mac G5, with OS X 10.4.3 and am still incensed that I

Acquired this used Mac and upgraded it to OS 9.2.2. All seems well, except
that during boot process, it takes an inordinately long time to get to the
desktop. After logging in (typing password), nothing ...

Do most of the new printers (Epson, hp, Canon, etc.) have drivers
for OSX 10.4.3 yet?  I checked one (hp 8450) and the 10.4 driver was
available for D/L.
