My hard drive has been very active for most of the last hour. I've been in the web browser most of that time. Checking Activity Monitor, the top item is WindowServer, with 35% - 50% of the CPU. Is there a way to find out what app is doing so much disk access?

I've played with them before and still see them as the most powerful PDA. However they were bulky. My question is how to modern Macs running OSX Tiger sync with them? Was it true that OSX does not allow one to connect serial ports to their

| Future of 64 bits | 22 Oct 2005 21:26 GMT | 21 |
If I have this right, 64-bit processing on the Mac may conclude with the G5 as we move in to 32-bit Intel-land next year. What does this mean to me vis-a-vis the programs I am currently using, which include video and audio editing software. Is anything that is

| Sound Balance often on the left instead of centered | 22 Oct 2005 20:29 GMT | 1 |
Often I notice that the sound is kind of thin. I open the System Prefs -> Sound, and again, the Balance slider is on the left, instead of the center position. I never slide it to the left intentionally. It must be a keyboard

| Changing file names with a single click | 22 Oct 2005 04:35 GMT | 16 |
I upgraded to 10.4 the other day, and I can no longer click on the name portion of an icon and have it become editable. I have to click on the icon, then click on the name field, resulting in opening the file if I do it too quickly or nothing happening if I wait too long.
