If you are using a system so early that it doesn't have CarbonLib, and if you're willing to be part of a little experiment, please email me. I'm trying to get the facts right about compatibility for the next edition of my AppleScript book, and I'd like to know whether an

| iMac to hifi - Airport Express, Squeezebox or..? | 02 Oct 2005 17:20 GMT | 2 |
Pretty much as subject. I have a lot of music in my iTunes collection, and at times I much prefer to listen to a random selection of music than to an entire CD from one artist. So, I'm thinking of some means of connecting my G5 iMac to my hifi.

| will this printer work with a mac? | 02 Oct 2005 15:49 GMT | 13 |
I bought my mom a new iMac last Christmas to replace her pc. Her old system had a nice hp 1100A laserjet and I'm wondering if it can be hooked up to the mac. The laserjet was purchased in 1999 and doesn't have any USB connections, and of course the iMac only uses USB

I'm trying to get my old iMac up and running again and I had to take it apart for new battery. While the board's still out I thought I'd do something about the stock 233MHZ CPU and 32MB RAM. But there's some conflicting info on internet.

| IrDA with G5 (OS 10.4.2) possible? | 02 Oct 2005 03:04 GMT | 5 |
I would like to send/receive IR to communicate with my Palm. I bought an IrDA, but I can't get it to work with my G5. I guess the Mac laptops have the necessary software, but it's not installed on desktop machines. At least, this is my assumption.

Anyone using a PCI USB 2 card in a beige G3 (tower or desktop?) ? If so does it provide faster transfers than an USB 1 card (i.e. is the system really able to keep up to make a difference?) I have a beige G3 tower using (mainly) OS 9.2.2 (with an occasional boot

I have a 15-inch Titanium powerbook with OS 10.4. My classic mode system is OS 9.2.2, which was copied from another system folder. I use minimal extensions since I only operate a few programs under classic mode. When I start classic, all of the extensions load and then there
