I was at a dollar store recently and I noticed a huge box full of PS/2 mouses. What got me is that the box was labeled compatible with PC and Mac. No USB adapter and no mention of USB adapter and AFAIK Macintosh never supported any PS/2 ports.

I have a B&W G-3/350 with the original 6G hard drive and an external 200 G firewire drive. Pursuant to some suggestions I received after a crash earlier last month, I just received a 40 G HD to upgrade the from the 6G.

I have a G4 tower, 400, with 9.2.2 installed. I installed 10.2 and then upgraded it to 10.2.5 which was downloaded from Apple. Now my screen gives me a message to restart my computer in four languages. When I restart, I keep getting the same messsage. Cannot bring up

In my home network consisting of a iBook and a Windows XP computer, I can connect from the Mac to a Windows file share if I use "smb://<ip address>/<folder>", and I see the shared files, etc. But not if I type "smb://<computer name>/<folder>". Using the ip address is not

In windows, you can format a disk of any size and write directly at any time, this includes cd rom , However I have not found the same thing on the Mac. power Mac G5 osx 10.4.2 512 ram. only one drive (dvdrw) I use quicken to do checks when I finish would like to save it to some ...

recently the fans on my iMac G5 are running full blast. I looked in the activity monitor and over 93% of CPU use is by "lookupd". Can anyone tell me what this is and how I can reduce its loading of the PCU?

G3 iMac DV+ 384 RAM I installed 10.4 Tiger and upgraded to 10.4.2.... Sherlock then failed to work and most of the Channels disappeared. I then did an Archive and Install and now Sherlock seems to be working

OS X Tiger, admin user, I try to set the date in a certain order, year, month, day and it's fine for short, but when I change a longer version, it sticks but the previous ones revert back to the default Month, day, year.

Everytime I try to print with my stylewriter 1500, I get an error message saying that the waste ink container is full. I've totally taken the whole thing apart and can't find any container or any way to actually empty it or fix it.

Hi, new to forum and new to Macs... Trying to install OS 9.2.2 on an old Power Mac G3 266mhz (Power PC). It has 192 megs of RAM, and a 4gig hard drive. It uses ADB for keyboard and mouse, no USB.
