We have a Mac OS X 10.2 server we use as a file server.  It has
recently started acting up by hanging users trying to connect to it...
so that they basically have to restart there computers.

I have started using Unison because for some reason Giganews and Thoth don't
like one and other any more. Using Thoth, in the morning I get about 1,000
KBps, as the day goes on the speed goes down, by the evening it can drop to

I am frustrated at the frequency I get the message that
I don't have sufficient privileges or don't have ownership
of a file when no one else ever has used my G-4.  I've

  The machine is a beige Power Macintosh G3, running MacOS X 10.2.8.

I am looking to purchase a MAC laptop for my wife.  It is a long story, but,
basically she has recently become disabled, and I want to make her

I wanted to add a second drive so I can run OSX  on it.
I just added a second 80GB internal hard drive (Maxtor) to my Beige G3
(running system 9) but can't get it to show up at all on my desktop.  
I can hear that the drive is running and it's plugged in correctly
