PM G5 - Max memory for a single application?19 Oct 2005 00:53 GMT14
This is a newbie question.  According to Apple's web site a Power Mac G5 can
hold up to 8GB of main memory.  Given that this is a dual-processor system,
how much of this is actually available to a single threaded application?
4GB?

Need a service--Zip, Jaz to CD18 Oct 2005 22:59 GMT2
I'm wondering if there are services to whom I could send my Jaz and Zip

CD-ROMS)? This is not data recovery; there's nothing wrong with the disks.
If you know of such or where to look, I'd appreciate hearing about ...

At the bottom of the burn disc window, it shows time in 1.1 & 1.2 hour

New FrontRow for Old Imac G518 Oct 2005 14:22 GMT3
Anyone have any idea if Apple plan to release a peripheral device allowing
owners of old iMac G5¹s to run the newly announced FrontRow technology?
Surely this must be possible. All I can imagine it would require is an
infrared receiver and the software.
Spotlight indexing NOT!18 Oct 2005 11:08 GMT5
Spotlight is making me crazy. It simply isn't indexing everything it's
expected to.
My boss has like 30 examples of files on his HD that contain the word
"reprint" and spotlight only found one of them. It found a second after
removing a wireless network from "remembered" networks18 Oct 2005 05:12 GMT4

I hope this is a quick, and easy question. My Powerbook remembers my
work wireless network. Unfortunatly, right now it isn't working. It
