Does anyone know if the new G5 Powermacs with Dual Core chips, and the
dual-dual G5 Quad machine, are cooled by those Delphi radiators, or by
air?

Disabling the Bluetooth "Connection Lost" Bezel21 Oct 2005 20:09 GMT2
I just got a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth to use with my
iBook's built-in Bluetooth adapter. The mouse works great, except that it
will disconnect from my iBook if I stop using it for a few minutes (is
this a power saving feature, I wonder?).
What's the most irritating thing about Tiger?21 Oct 2005 19:17 GMT49
I'm curious as to what others think is the most irritating aspect of Tiger.
Mine is when you have a .dmg on the desktop open, drag it to the trash, and
then attempt to empty the trash. You are then presented with a dialog stating
that the trash cannot be emptied because the .dmg ...

In Mac Format December 2005 there is reference on page 75 to Unix

G5 Powermac:  subtle beeps?21 Oct 2005 16:59 GMT1
For as long as I've had the G5 (about a month now), I've noticed that
it emanates a very subtle, high-pitched beep.  It occurs about every
1.2 seconds.
It's so subtle that I only notice it at night, when the house is quiet.
Widget installer21 Oct 2005 16:58 GMT6
Is there any way to disable the Widget installer that pops up whenever I
download a widget with Safari?  I'd rather have the downloaded widget
just appear on the desktop like any other downloaded file.
Or, better yet, is there any way I can change the location the installer
New iMac G5 - heat problems solved?21 Oct 2005 15:16 GMT6
I'm thinking about getting a new iMac G5 (with built in iSight).
However, I'm still hesitating because of the thermic problems the
previous iMac G5 edition had that caused hard disks to die early etc.
Does anyone have a clue if this is still a problem with the new iMac
RAM for g3 b+w21 Oct 2005 14:09 GMT3
Has anyone had any experience with installing generic PC100 or PC133 RAM
into a G3 PowerMac System (blue + white 400MHz).  My old PC back home
died on me, so I have some leftover RAM to use up.  Thanks!
What Is This Automator Workflow Error21 Oct 2005 13:45 GMT11
I took the plunge and created an Automator Workflow.  Piece of cake!  It
is supposed to launch four software applications in this order:
   Safari  Mail  Organizer  MT-NewsWatcher
I saved and then ran the Workflow and it would not proceed past
Limiting user access: Does it work under Tiger?21 Oct 2005 13:25 GMT5
Like many of you, I have played with account restrictions on OS X going
back to 10.1.  They never worked as advertised, with settings reverting
to defaults or causing other such anomalies.
I know there are workarounds involving running apps from shared access

10.4: Add a printer to the Dock?21 Oct 2005 08:47 GMT5
In 10.4, is there a way to add a printer (not the printer setup utility)
