I just got a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer for Bluetooth to use with my iBook's built-in Bluetooth adapter. The mouse works great, except that it will disconnect from my iBook if I stop using it for a few minutes (is this a power saving feature, I wonder?).

For as long as I've had the G5 (about a month now), I've noticed that it emanates a very subtle, high-pitched beep. It occurs about every 1.2 seconds. It's so subtle that I only notice it at night, when the house is quiet.

Is there any way to disable the Widget installer that pops up whenever I download a widget with Safari? I'd rather have the downloaded widget just appear on the desktop like any other downloaded file. Or, better yet, is there any way I can change the location the installer

I'm thinking about getting a new iMac G5 (with built in iSight). However, I'm still hesitating because of the thermic problems the previous iMac G5 edition had that caused hard disks to die early etc. Does anyone have a clue if this is still a problem with the new iMac

I am running OS 9.1 on a PowerPC w/a 20gb hd.Lately my Mac has been very slow to both start up and shut down.I have run both DiskWarrior and TECHTOOL PRO without finding any major problems and rebuilt my desktop.

what does the collective intelligence of the group have to say regarding airport express compatible base stations in a mixed platform envirnmnet...I would prefer to get the apple one, but it is close to $200, and a basic linksys is like $30-$40 at best buy....

In 10.4, is there a way to add a printer (not the printer setup utility) to the Dock, or, is there a way to have the active printer (the one printing at the moment, which at least is visible when command-tabbing to shw the print jobs by default? I always have to open Printer ...
