My PB came with panther and a coupon for upgrade to 10.4. Recently I was stupid/careless enough to damage my OS. I reinstalled panther but couldn't locate my tiger upgrade disks so far and am still looking for substitutes.

Since the latest update, Safari has been running like a turtle, requiring multiple attempts to load pages. Finally I realized it was the browser and switched over to Firefox and the speed is back.

I think I deleted /usr or something similar by mistake. Anyway, the machine refused to boot. I had to reinstall OS, but while I could find my Panther CDs I can't locate the upgrade cd apple sent me. Most of my friends are pc people. Can I beg borrow steal buy the upgrade cd from

Is it possible to remap the small enter key to the right on the arrow keys on my iBook to operate as a second ctrl key? (to allow one-handed control-clicking?). I actually just noticed it was there doing nothing and it'd save a lot of annoyance. Thanx.

I screwed up my os, was able to install Panther but couldn't locate the upgrade disks. All nearby friends are PC people. Finally I found someone who has offered to let me use his dvd's to install tiger. However, it is quite a long drive and his dvd's came bundled with a G5

I am now using 10.2.8 and would like to upgrade to 10.3. I can buy some 10.3 discs fairly cheaply, but they are labeled as install and restore discs for the eMac. Is there anything about this software that would prevent it from working

OK, so my MAC skills are non-existant. They used to be OK but then OSX came along and I am pretty lost. So here's my situation. I have a G3 with 8.5GB but 8.14 GB are used up and I can't seem to do anyhting on my MAC anymore. I no longer need all my graphics software

on OSX 10.3.9 "Links" (hard/soft) don't work on smb-mounted devices. :-( Why can't use Apple the normal smb-client, that is part of the Samba-Suite? On Linux-systems smb-mounted devices support Links. How long do we have to wait, until the System-Programmers at Apple
