Just installed the new security update from Software Update and now I'm
getting a popup after reboot to 'Unlock Keychain'. Here's the popup
box:
Unlock Keychain

How do I get FireFox to automatically open dmg files I've downloaded (so I
don't have to figure out the name of the actual file and then hunt it down
and double-click on it)...?

I just made a few trips to Circuit City, and Best Buy. Here are some
interesting gizmos.
A) Circuit City has an Pioneer Ipod adapter made specifically for
Pioneer in dash cd players. Any Opinions on this unit?

Hello.  I'm a Windows guy, so this stuff is totally new to me.  A
friend has a Mac that stops in singleuser mode.  Message is to fsck and
mount, then reboot.  But it always stops in single user (rc.boot).
fsck says no errors

This evening, the Mac offered to upgrade iTunes to 5.0.1.  Running OS X
10.4.2  So upgrade I did, with the result that all of my playlists are gone.  
I guess they're somewhere in the system, but can anyone tell me how to
restore them. Thanks.

DiskUtility S.M.A.R.T report a HD problem but don't let me
reformat the drive. Since this drive is SATA I cannot
reformat with an old Mac.
TechToolPro and DiskWarrior report bad sector but can reformat

Not really an OS question, but your help will be apprecaited.  I would
like to do a separate backup of all my Entourage email and addresses.  
But where are these files hiding?  Are they in an accessible folder
where I can get at them to do a backup?  THANKS.

Can I just get any Mac PCI video card? I already have an AGP video card.

I've recently been struggling to get a PowerBook running OSX 10.4.2 to
use a printer on a Linux box over Samba.
After going through the usual routine via OSX to setup the printer I
would get an error message that said, "Connection failed with error

Is there such a thing as an i-Pod-like device that would let me make digital
recordings out in the field -- something that would work like a pocket-sized
cassette recorder, but save the sounds as WAV or AIFF files instead of
