but here goes:

I am using a mac that has final cut pro and pro tools;  whenever I use
final cut there is a video card setting that gets turned off and I need
to manually turn it on before I can use pro tools with video.

Hello to anyone who can help:
I have an iMac G3 running OS 9.2.  I had to restart my computer because
there was a disk failure.  I'm able to get to the desktop but I cannot eject
the disc because the seatbelt won't start.  All I get is the stopwatch

This is a weird one, and it just started happening.
Sometimes the "new mail" notification sound will play, and sometimes it
doesn't. All other alert sounds, e.g. system alert, play as they

I have five user accounts on my Mac; only one admin account, which is
normally always logged off.  The other four are standard non-admin
accounts, including my daily use account.

With outlook express on the PC I was able to set up my newsgroups.
Can the same be done on the Mac or do I need  special news reader software.

I am using an Airport Extreme Base Station as a NAT box for wired and
wirless computers on my LAN.  It works quite well for this, but I have
one annoyance that seems typical with NAT implementations - it appears
to like to time out inactive TCP connections after 30 minutes or so.
