Can an iMac G3 running Mac OS9 connect to a Windows domain to get print
services?  Or would I have to upgrade it to Mac OS X?

I have a new iMac G5 running OS10.4 Using Entourage for mail and newsgroups.
Can someone tell me how to decode messages from alt. binaries newsgrps. I
assume I need some additional software? Perhaps a different newsreader?

I have iDVD 5 on my iBook G4, which has a combo drive. I can burn a DVD to
an external DVD-RW using the option to create a disk image, but not
directly. Anyone know why? The System Profiler knows the external drive is
there, and I can burn with Toast etc.

I have been looking around for a solution to this, but so far to no
avail:

I have a G-3 Powerbook that has SCSI output. Unfortunately,
all of my periphals are USB, so I have no way to print from
the powerbook.
Is there a device to permit this?

Please excuse my cluelessness regarding this --
I've been using 2 Macs (desktop with OS 9.1 and laptop with OS 10.2.3,
administrator is the only user.).  I transfer files back and forth via a
small Lacie drive to keep them both in sync.  

Trying to hook up an older HP Laserjet 5 to a G4 tower and Mini.  A print  
server has been recommended.  There is a female plug on the back that  
looks like an S-Video output and it has is labelled I-R.  Can I use that  
for anything. If not, what kind of print server should I be ...

As a longtime windows user, I have grown dependent on the "Control
______" commands for navigation.  Anyone know how to perform these
functions with Apple?  I am running the latest OS on a new iBookG4.
While I'm at it, is there a way to make the "delete" key actually delete

how would I turn off Gimp.app (2.2.8)'s splash screen? Like "gimp -s"?
