I was trasnferring files from a MAC server this weekend and had to correct
tons of file names including ones that appeared as though they had boxes in
the file names, ones ending with spaces, ones with special symbols.  I
renamed them all because the copy process would fail on them. ...

Hello, our graphic artist just received a new PowerMac.
He would like to send and receive email from his new MAC through our
exchange 5.5 server. How should this be configured? Does it have something to
do with IMAP?

I am hoping to gain access to my PC at home (behind an airport wireless

I have a similar problem to rk.  I installed the remote client on a G4 Mac
with OSX.  It issued a temporary license to the Mac.  When that license
expired I uninstalled term service licensing from the server and reinstalled
it (as is what I do when the temporary license expires ...

I have a Windows 2003 server with all the latest patches.  I have many mac
workstations all running OSX 10.3.
If I create a new share and select only MAC - the mac clients can't see the
share with SMB if I select both Windows and MAC they can see it.  Is there a

When using RDC via an ssh tunnel
ssh -L 3380:mymachine:3389  sshservermachine
It works, but.. It seemed very slow until I wobbled the mouse.

When i start Outlook2001 on my G5 with Tiger, the classic mode (9) starts...

NETLOGON and SYSVOL show up in SMB from MAC 10.3 to Windows 2003.23 Aug 2005 03:32 GMT2
When I put in the IP address from a mac to connect via SMB it gives me a
drop down list to go to shares.  SYSVOL and NETLOGON show even though I
don't see mac shares for them under management.  Is there a way to hide them
from the mac users?

Does anyone know if Microsoft is planning a new release of MS Project
for Mac?  Why hasn't there been such a product for Mac in many years?
There are alot of us Mac users who need it, doesn't Microsoft

We use rdc regularly. Recently we added rdc services to a windows 2000
server. WIndows users can connect to the box, but mac users can't. The
error dialog reads "The client could not connect to the remote
computer. The connection was ended because of a network error. Please
