| dealing with UTF8 text | 31 Mar 2005 16:21 GMT | 1 |
Hi old friends (and new), I'm quite enjoying getting back to scripting, and like Perl a lot, especially with Affrus. While I'm probably inefficient, it's nice to have a language actually designed for text processing (search engine

| apache 2 + mod_perl 2 + apreq + svn | 27 Mar 2005 21:42 GMT | 1 |
Apache & mod_perl 2 are much easier to configure and install than versions 1.x, but even so it has taken quite a while for me to get this right. In case other people are considering this route, here's what I've learned:

| Any interest in a CamelBones CVS snapshot? | 11 Mar 2005 18:04 GMT | 1 |
Is anyone interested in a CamelBones CVS snapshot? The framework is *not* in a release-quality state. It leaks memory rather badly. It hasn't been tested very much on Tiger, and not at all on Jaguar. There is no build target for an app-embedded framework yet.

I'm having problems with Cpan, I'm new to this and I think I've messed something up. I have installed a couple of modules ok, including LWP::UserAgent which I just installed as per the default install, I now know this can cause problems. I'm now trying to install SOAP::Lite ...
