I can't seem to get libxml2 (using libxml2-2.5.1) to install correctly. I do a ./configure BUILD=darwin Everything seems to configure correctly. Then when I do a make or a make install I get :

I've been using psync during my daily script to mirror a lot of data. I love it, it works great, so I thought. On three different macs psync has backed up everything. I'm using lines like:

I'm have trouble adding perl libraries to my OS X machine. I've installed the developer tools and the gcc updater from August but when running the command "install bundle::CPAN" I get make errors. "Warning: prerequisite Test::more failed to load: Can't locate Test/More.pm

Ok, I'll make a new directory inside the cgi-bin, and set it to 777, and try to write to that. A side note, though. I should be able to write directly to the cgi-bin, though, right? I tried to set the cgi-bin directory to 777, and was not able to. I received an error, so ...

Can someone tell me how to exclude a package from a cpan install? Often when I go to install packages on 10.2.6, cpan wants to install perl 5.8. Unfortunately, I cannot yet upgrade and have to cancel out.

I can't seem to get perl to open more than 254 files. Is this a known limitation, or is it a bug? I can't find any info other than Solaris had a similar problem (except it was 256 for Solaris) but is now fixed.
