MT-NW and Motzarella27 Oct 2008 19:54 GMT4
Since Comcast is getting rid of their newsgroup service, I signed up
with Motzarella.org a few days ago.  Since then, I've noticed that
MT-Newswatcher often crashes when I quit.  Nothing is lost, since I was
quitting anyway, but it's annoying.  Anyone else experiencing this?
Production date for  laptop24 Oct 2008 02:17 GMT1
I think it is a small app which translates part of the Macs serial
number to an approximately production date. Any pointers to this app?

Logging on to the network no longer possible after 10.5.5 upgrade.  Suggestions?18 Oct 2008 21:28 GMT8
I recently upgraded my iMac on our Windows network. After the upgrade
was completed, no user on the network is able to log on to the network.
(Local accounts work fine) When logging in, the users name and password
gray out and remain for about 15 seconds.  Then the screen shakes ...
NewsTap17 Oct 2008 18:09 GMT18
I have a beta of the new version, and it seems to be working well. One

it doesn't let you crosspost an original message. I haven't tried that
with a reply yet, though.

I've got a friend who is having trouble downloading large files from her

POP email client (Mail.app) times out before the email can be
Airport Express (n) on a g network09 Oct 2008 05:26 GMT35
My sweet old AirportExpress bit the dust. Not bad; eBay for $50 3 years ago,
very heavy work since. I guess I'm going to buy an n AE and so am wondering.
It will connect to the main wireless base station, a Netgear WGR614, via a
Cat5 cable. We have a couple of n machines. Will we ...
bad server response07 Oct 2008 23:11 GMT21
For the past two weeks or so, I have been getting the following message
whenever I try to access delicious.com. I'm not sure what it does or why
it does it, but it happens with at least two versions of Safari (2.0.4
(419.3) under 10.4.9) and the newer 3.x version included with 10 ...
Question about LANWAN Ethernet connector (DSL modem)06 Oct 2008 22:17 GMT18
I know nothing about DSL modems.
Already tried googling for "purpose of LANWAN connection,
but all I get are tech specs, nothing a newbie can understand
about what that "Local Area Network Wide Area Network"
Configure two macs to work Wirelessly02 Oct 2008 01:28 GMT7
I have been trying unsuccessfully to get two macs to work together with their
built in airport cards
One is a Laptop G4 running 10.5 and the other is a desk top intel running 10.
4. Whatever I have read on the subject is a narrative of what they can do but
