| MT-NEWSWATCHER Question | 26 Apr 2008 17:57 GMT | 12 |
My question concerns checking for new messages. Suppose I open a group by double clicking it in a users group window. After reading for a while, I want to see if any messages have been added to a thread I am interested in.

| Spoke too Soon Error Code -1857 is back | 26 Apr 2008 17:56 GMT | 28 |
I spoke too soon when I thought the MT-NW 2.5.3b2 fixed the problem. The Macalley BT mouse cannot be used with MT-NW. Each time I try to left-click on a message, I get the Error Code -1857. Good thing I still have the Apple Mighty Mouse that works.

I've been attempting to transition from my previous ISP's news server to my new one's (comcast). I use Thoth. For the comp.sys.mac.system group, I now get an error on an attempted open. The Thoth log file reports an "unsupported header" field.

Hmmmm... I usually post to Usenet Groups thru my trusty usenet reader MT Newswatcher for Mac System 10.4.11. I check up on the posts in Google Groups. However, recently my "star rating" history has been deleted. I had several hundred ratings that

| Wrong mindset connecting Airport Extreme | 18 Apr 2008 16:44 GMT | 1 |
There is something quite fundamental that I am missing in trying to setup my Airport Extreme (AE). I'm running Vista Ultimate on my computer and have another Vista (Home Premium) and an XP (SP2) machine I'd like to connect. I have a simple

| Any way to stop Apple Mail from deleting a whole line every time I paste? | 18 Apr 2008 05:47 GMT | 15 |
It's SO FRUSTRATING. Every time I paste some text in a Mail message I lose a line below. WTF is Mail doing this? Can it be turned off? What were Apple thinking? Text Edit doesn't behave this way. No rational editor I've ever used does this.

Last week I bought a Duo 2.8Ghz iMac (802.11n), a Time Capsule and upgraded a G4 PowerMac to Leopard (though still only 802.11g). Initially I was quite pleased with the 4 bars on both iMac and PowerMac (before then I had usually 2 bars) but after a day or two the network

| iCab's tiny tabs are all the prevents me from using it. | 14 Apr 2008 19:37 GMT | 1 |
As someone who regularly keeps upwards of two dozen tabs open I'm sure you know my problem: that iCab's tabs reduce in size far to the point where no title is visible :-( I don't know why this is the case, but it obviously makes iCab unusable

| FTP Attack | 07 Apr 2008 23:54 GMT | 24 |
Yesterday my daughter called in a panic that her iMac had been taken over. She states that her cursor was moving contrary to her inputs. Shen was browsing "Facebook" at the time. I VNCed in to her machine and viewed the cosole logs. Here is a excerpt.
