Mac friendly Web hosting20 Jun 2007 17:44 GMT10
Anyone care to recommend a Mac-friendly Web host (preferably Northeast
area) that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, for a small Web site?
Preferably one that runs on Linux (don't know if there are any
commercial Mac hosting sites).
non-wireless router recommendations19 Jun 2007 20:38 GMT18

Asante 4-port router connected to a DSL modem. This (and the spare
Asante router) have been OK, but certainly not flawless. I've had
headaches with both of them (both have been replaced, the first while
Mac Mini modem interference19 Jun 2007 15:29 GMT4
When I tried to run my telephone line into my Mac Mini (first
generation 1.25 ghz) I found that my ring detector in my phone (that

My sister and brother-in-law have a recent problem with their wireless

Bad Ethernet port?17 Jun 2007 02:33 GMT3
It seems like I may have a bad Ethernet port on my G4 iMac (gooseneck).
The router port flashes on and off when I plug it in and the machine is
unable to connect to the router. My other Intel iMac works from that
same port (or any other) on the router.
Safari 3.0.1 for Windows now available16 Jun 2007 12:38 GMT17
For those of you who care:
Apple issued a new beta-test version of Safari for Windows to address
security problems in the first release:
APPLE-SA-2007-06-14 Safari Beta 3.0.1 for Windows
Safari 3.016 Jun 2007 03:23 GMT161
So what are the differences between Safari 3.0 and Safari 2.n?  I
haven't been able to see any except, possibly, a subtle change in the
appearance of the tabs when tab browsing.
Jobs said that 3.0 has Yahoo! search built in along with Google search,

Yeh.
I'm doing some work for a friend's company. They are mostly a
Windows shop, and have only two Macs on a windows 2003 server.
The Macs connect to the network seamlessly. The problems are

switching users while leaving the modem connected05 Jun 2007 06:56 GMT2
When i switch users (by enabling the "fast user switching" in

always disconnects.
I would like to leave the modem connected (because, for example,
More on Lame Coke Rewards02 Jun 2007 18:34 GMT4
I just claimed a reward and Coke sent me an email with a URL to claim
the award.  I went to the web page using Safari and  Firefox and got
a Toybox Error whatever that means.  Could not claim the award.  I have
just about decided dealing with Coke is too hard.
