I am using Liunx command iperf to measure the throuphput between two
hosts which is connected by a Ethernet cable.When I set the window
size at the client side which is less than 256k,the output of iperf
always shows the double size of the value which I set.I know the
v.92 speed drops to v.3431 Mar 2007 02:29 GMT6
For years I used external Kflex and v.90 modems on an old Mac.  It
normally connected around 52k although the exact speed would vary. While
I was online the speed would sometimes drop back 5 or 10%.
Now I have a PPC Mini with an internal v.92 modem.  Internet Connect

PowerBook G3 running OS 9.2.2, connected via Appletalk over
ethernet to a G5 iMac running 10.4.9.  
I connect to the iMac successfully, and can copy files from the
PowerBook to the iMac.  Similarly from the iMac to the PowerBook.

I have a new used B & W G3 300 with OS 10.3 and OS 9.2.1 on it. I also
have older Mac systems networked via I think you call it a localtalk
network. I use Techworks TechnetSt DIN-8 to telephone RJ-11 ended four
strand phone wire. I have a HP LaserJet 4m on the network also.
