and a NO-IP static address to host my personal sites. About 7 or 8
different domains sites. The DSL is off a router in my bedroom. Do I
need NO-IP? Does my IP change?

My Dad has an old iMac - I'm not sure which version it is, but he's had
it for about 5 years.  He's running OS 9.2.2.
A few months ago, it started locking up frequently - at this point, he
can barely use it for 15 minutes without it locking up.  When I went

Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong and/or tell me a better way to

We're running 10.4.6 on a G4 iMac that has an internal 56k modem.
Can I use one of the Apple USB external 56K V.92 in lieu of the internal
modem?  If so, how do I have to configure the settings in the Network

new problem with Powerbook wireless connection09 Sep 2006 02:46 GMT5
Have a Mac Powerbook G4 with a built in Airport card.  I upgraded my
router from a Netgear 802.11b to a Netgear 802.11g (the 54mg, not the
108 or "pre-N").  It worked internittently at first.  I also have a
Windows laptop and it made the switch beautifully and works fine.

AirPort Extreme02 Sep 2006 20:32 GMT2
I have a warehouse which is just under 10,000 sq/ft.  If i was to
install 4 AirPort Extreme access points throughout the warehouse do you
think this would be sufficient for me to be able to access our
serverside software using our Symbol MC9000 handheld data collectors.
connection problem (ethernet card is OK)02 Sep 2006 02:36 GMT9
A few days ago my DSL connection on my iMac (10.4.7) stopped working,
and my ISP support service couldn't figure why. I got fed up with my ISO
and got comcast cable for internet connection. The comcast people came
today and brought a modem and tried for couple of hours to get it ...
