A few months ago, there was something posted somewhere about modifying
mail so that the message list had alternating colors like the track
lists in iTunes have.  I made that modification, but today's update to
OS X 10.4.8 removed it, and I just cannot figure out which file to

Mother in law is a packrat and never disposed of my wife's Mac Classic.

There seem to be a problem with html-mails from Entourage when read in
Apple's Mail. A paragraph is shown as one long line no matter how long.
In other e-mail programs the lines are automatically adjusted to the
size of the window.

Is it possible to have a LAN with two routers, each one connected to a

I was looking for recommendations for a dialing / database program for

For over two years I've had all my macs connected via a Zonet Hub, and all was
fine.
I moved my network to another room and set up a PPC/7500 for my wife and it's

I am in the process of upgrading from my old 68k based system 7 Mac to a
PPC based OSX system and I need to find a decent FTP client for OSX.  I
am currently using fetch on the 68k, and would like to find something

I'm not a mac newbie by any means, but here's the set up:
1 Airport Extreme
2 iBooks (G4 and G3)with airport

I have a problem with my wireless connection under MAX OS 10.3 I
previously had my local AP in the keychain but i needed to change
the security configuration and so it just stoped working.
What I did was that I deleted that network from the keychain so that

I cannot figure out, for the life of me, why our WinXP machine won't
connect to our Mac.
Mac: Powerbook G4 running OS X 10.4.7, WIndows File Sharing is active
and an account is selected which will use Windows sharing.

Why would you want to use MS Entourage over the Apple Mail program?
Doesn't seem to add any functionality not available in Mail, but you
loose iSync functionality and Spotlight searching.
