Closing off my iBook14 Aug 2006 00:30 GMT1
I have been using Macs for about a year now.  I have an internet cafe I
like to visit.  A couple weeks ago as I was powering off I got a
message that if I did power off I would disconnect a user.  There
should not have been any of course, so I shut down.
Scanners over long (say 20 foot) USB cables?13 Aug 2006 23:20 GMT12
Anyone had practical experience with connecting a laptop to a small (and

Some computers with wireless  Internet capabilities are vulnerable to
attacks that could expose passwords, bank account details and other
sensitive information even if the machines aren't actually online,
researchers said Wednesday.
Hogwasher 4.2.206 Aug 2006 00:26 GMT4
I've been trying to figure this one out for quite some time and have decided
to throw in the towel and ask for help.   How can links posted be displayed
as hot links?   I've tested other newsreaders for the same post and they show
as hot links but in Hogwasher I've got to ...
Another cheap shot05 Aug 2006 21:16 GMT35
Two guys from Black Hat have supposedly exploited a vulnerability in

I am trying to get a Dell to find a G4's Airport Extreme's Base
Station. It can't find it since it's been re-configured at the Apple

Brickhouse / Flying Buttress IP Sharing broke after first reboot02 Aug 2006 18:53 GMT1
I'm trying to use Flying Buttress to firewall a NAT gateway between my
internal lan and the Internet on a Blue and White G3 running OS X
