I have a small LAN using a D-Link DI-524 Router with a G4 1GHz hard
wired and Dell laptop wireless.  I wonder if anyone has had success
adding a 3rd party card to G4 so it will show up on the network.  The
older Apple card are just way too expensive and are only sold used.

I have had an iBook for about 4 months.  Got it as a more secure
interface to the Internet.
I continue to use a WXP PC for software reasons.  Wireless networking
between the two works fairly well.  But, I occasionaly cannot transfer

I am trying to use Mail.app but I don't like the fact that it imposes on me
whatever fonts the designers of HTML-rich emails have chosen. In most
browsers I use, I load a custom CSS that I have written, in order to override
the fonts. Is there such a possibility in Mail?

To someone who knows... why is it possible for me to hook a "cantenna"
to my airport card and get 700-800kbps on open net. and not be able to
configure APBS extreme with the cantenna plugged into the external
antenna port and get on the web?

I there any Mac OS9 VNC client that works with the
Apple remote desktop VNC server that comes with
Mac OS X 10.4.6 tiger?

Hello everyone.  I'm trying to get a 56k serial modem working on my mom's
Mac.  It's a StarMax 4000/200 clone, OS 8.6.  She dials in with a 33 modem
just fine.  I've tried to hook up two 56k modems and neither wants to
work.  I dial in to the same service with my G3 300 OS 9.1 ...

The friend who was having problems getting Windows systems connected to
his Airport Extreme base station is now having another problem.  (He
solved the original problem by bumping the security up to WPA2.)  He
asked me to look into devices to increase the Airport signal strength, ...

I rebuild one of my old machines last night with OS-9 and it just doesn't
seem to work with many sites anymore.  Does anyone have a decent browser or
update system to keep them running or is Classic simply a thing of the past?
I know, I shouldn't be asking something like this yet ...

When I boot up cindy's B&W G3,
The box opens up and says:

Last time I tried them they couldn't even do true references based
threading, which made them useless for my needs. Are there any Mac email
client that can do this and match up to MacSOUP in other features to?

I have two.  Can I use one as a base station hooked up to my wired
D-Link router supplied by FIOS. I've got it recognized as my base
station and a full green light. The only problem is that on the Client
side I can't get the G3 iMac to recognize the Airport Express.  I know
