Any recommendations for brand/model of a WiFi base station? My only hookup for a while will be MacBookPro, fwiw, and the only thing I can think of that might not be standard is a way to hook up an antenna if needed.

The airport icon in the menu bar is grey, and no network is checked, but I'm still getting mail, accessing the web and retrieving newsgroups. Connection doctor and the Network preferences panel both say that I'm connected and all is well.

The documentation says that it can use the Cocoa spell checker, but the Spelling options under the Edit menu are always disabled for me. Am I doing something wrong, or did one of the later OS X releases break this? I can do spell checking via an external checker such as Excalibur.
