For about the last three years I've been using OSX on an ibook.
These have a keypad within the main keyboard, enabled via a

Airport base station substitute27 Jun 2006 02:41 GMT11
Any recommendations for brand/model of a WiFi base station? My only
hookup for a while will be MacBookPro, fwiw, and the only thing I can
think of that might not be standard is a way to hook up an antenna if
needed.
Airport Weirdness26 Jun 2006 17:29 GMT2
The airport icon in the menu bar is grey, and no network is checked, but
I'm still getting mail, accessing the web and retrieving newsgroups.
Connection doctor and the Network preferences panel both say that I'm
connected and all is well.

I'm trying to do a UDP broadcast but, while it seems to succeed,
my client doesn't receive the message.  My client is bound to port

the 255.255.255.255 and 192.168.0.255 addresses, but the client sees

Need Help with Verizon DSL and Usenet15 Jun 2006 18:43 GMT3
Hi. I just began using DSL supplied by Verizon.   When I had dial-up

Can't connect?14 Jun 2006 19:14 GMT4
OK, here's a strange one.  A relative connects fine with her 33 modem.  I

service, different homes.  If I bring my entire box to her house, plug it
in and try to connect, I get the "can't find modem - check ...
MT NewsWatcher 3.4 Spell Checking14 Jun 2006 15:08 GMT4
The documentation says that it can use the Cocoa spell checker, but the
Spelling options under the Edit menu are always disabled for me. Am I
doing something wrong, or did one of the later OS X releases break this?
I can do spell checking via an external checker such as Excalibur.
