OS X and the Motorola A1000 phone14 Oct 2005 14:42 GMT2
Any Mac users using a Motorola A1000 mobile phone?
As usual for 99% of mobile phones it has woefull Mac support. (Probably
99.9% of phones, don't think I know of any that advertise or support
Macs)
Rule-based spam filtering for Mail (OS X Tiger)13 Oct 2005 19:34 GMT7
I really would like to find a Rules-based spam filtering product for
Mail.  Its internal spam-filter apparently isn't working very well on my
system.  It's not moving messages I've marked as Junk (over and over)
into either the Junk folder OR the Trash folder (after several weeks ...
USR Sportster Flash and Mac13 Oct 2005 11:15 GMT19
does anybody use a flashed (!) USR Sportster Flash with OSX here?
When I bought the modem it wasn't yet able to use V90 but x2. I flashed
it than on a PC, but I can do what I want --- no chance to switch this
box to V90.
Mail app question13 Oct 2005 02:51 GMT3
Is there a way (or add on software) to configure an automatic BCC in
Mail, so evertime mail goes out, it also goes to a preset BCC?
Mac OS X Mail + SBC Yahoo! DSL12 Oct 2005 04:16 GMT2
I connect to two of the three accounts of my SBC Yahoo! DSL
subscription (one main and one sub account) without issue.  A third,
however, continues to give me fits.  I have verified--several
times--that I'm using the full e-mail address as the login; am using

TidBITS#800/10-Oct-05
TidBITS is 800! No, we didn't start counting dog years - this week
marks our eight-hundredth issue, and Adam commemorates the event
by looking at three trends that will govern the future of the
how to add another fax modem?10 Oct 2005 06:20 GMT5
I have an iMac running 10.4.2 and a Siemens S35 GSM phone connected to
it via a USB-serial cable that uses the Prolific 2303 chip.
The mobile does AT-commands and fax class 1 commands.
In my networks settings a new connector usbserial showed up and could be
Mac Mini and Audio10 Oct 2005 05:13 GMT5
I'm vacillating between the entire gamut of Apple products from Mac
Mini to G5.  I had thought I just wanted a quick cheap replacement for
an ailing G4 450mhz, and the Mac Mini seemed a likely candidate, or the
14" iBook.  But maybe not:
Unison vs Thoth09 Oct 2005 00:48 GMT37
Well, we'll all have to give up Thoth eventually.
I began a migration to Unison a month or two ago.  It has gone okay,
but I still find the program wanting.  A few of the things must have
been fixed in the newest incarnation, and so I've eliminated them from
Airport Madness -- Why Can't I Connect?08 Oct 2005 17:11 GMT4
We have two PowerBooks, hers a TiBook and mine an AlBook, which connect to
the internet via Airport a Linksys WRT54GC wireless router which in turn is
connected to a cable box for RoadRunner. Both PowerBooks are running OS
10.4.2. Normally everything works just fine. The problem ...

Who is connected to my Airport network?06 Oct 2005 05:39 GMT5
Hi. Is there a utility that will tell me who is connected to my Airport
network?  Or at least how many people are using my network?
Thanks.
