I'm going to reinsall the OS for my G3 iMac and I have the original disk but am wondering, what is the difference between the iBook/iMac? I have the OS-9 which came with the iBook and it's a cd not a dvd, so can I install it on the iMac?

I have a customer that picked up 7 G3s from his school district that were on the list of computers to be retired. They have a password on them, and no one knows at the school what the password was. How do I go in and reset the password to a default or remove it altogether.

What apps are you using to connect to your phone and back up the phonebook? OnSync won't work with my phone. Confirmed with author that I'm at a dead end with that solution. OS X 10.3.8.9

I have an ibook G3 128MB 600MHz , since i've been importing cds and downloading music onto my ibook, its being taking up memory, so now I have 291 songs on my itunes and it says "disk full' AND it can't download any more music. Please help me! Now i only have 191 MB.

Now that this machine is rebuilt and everything looks fine, I'm having the same problem with Hogwasher that I had before. Trying to set it to get all msgs from all groups and download them all in one connection. Had this working before and it doesn't seem to be happening now.

Has anybody managed to get OS X to print via Bluetooth to Belkins printer adapter? When I tell Bluetooth on my iBook to find Bluetooth printers it can discover this printer adapter. But when I select it and click continue an error appears saying no printer drivers were found.

A friend just bought a new G5 and wants to retrieve his old Mail messages from a G4 Mac with Jaguar on it. What's the easiest (or safest) way of doing this. He has an external drive he can use as an intermediary device.

This is about an iBook G3 300MHz model 406 (clamshell). I have added recently an Airport card inside it. Problem: the range is about 2 meters from the wifi router. Short, isn't it? within that range the connection is OK, so I guess the software is OK.

Hi. I'm trying to connect an old G3 beige (G3 tower/333MHz/OS 8.6) Mac to my Airport Extreme Base Station. I plugged it into the LAN port on the base station, and in OS 8.6's TCP/IP control panel, I selected "Connect via Ethernet" and "Configure using DHCP server."
