I have been trying to set up the wireless security on my home network -
between my Actiontec DSL "modem"/router/wifi and my G4 TiBook using a
Belkin PCcard notebook wireless network card.
My trouble is finding how to configure my Powerbook (running 10.3.3) to

I send and receive email via mac.com
A friend sends and receives email via austin.rr.com
If she sends me an email I receive it virtually instantly.
If I send her an email it takes several minutes for her to receive it.

I've lost the ability to connect to other macs on my network from
this computer.  Whenever I open chooser, as soon as I click on
another computer, this computer(G3) locks up.  Force Quit doesn't
work.  I must restart.  I think the ethernet card is working

I want to prevent certain applications from hogging DSL bandwidth. Is there a
simple way to slice up the b/w pie, granting only so much b/w to each app?
The Google results I come up with all discuss using a PC router, or such,

Ok. I've been struggling with a few things since upgrading to Tiger. Two
problems are with my wireless networking. A week prior to upgrading, I
bought a D-Link DI-624 router and a DWG-G650X PC Card. They worked fine
under Panther. As soon as I upgraded the OS:

I could have a bargain on the Netgear WG511T wifi pcmcia card. Will I be
able to use it on my Powerbook G4/800 (no airport) under Tiger ?

Mac users don't know anything about sophisticated devices like ligh bulbs.
They have to call a Windows user to do the job !

I am wondering why certain web sites do not "remember me" (including
this one) consistently even though I have my browser set to accept
cookies. Do they expire? What happens if I access a site and log in
