Have a kind of interesting situation. I have a Powerbook 1400cs and an iBook G4. Both have wireless cards installed. I want to be able to send files directly from my G4 iBook to a specific folder on the PB 1400 without actually touching the PB 1400.

I am using OS 10.3.6 and a graphite Airport base station on a dial up line. I can specify the DNS servers either in the Airport config, or in the Network System Pref Panel, or I can leave them both blank. Trial and error seems to show that for this config I have to specify

I seem to remember there is a way to do this but maybe not. We have server 10.2.8 sharing files (AFP over tcp/ip) with appletalk turned off. Isn't there some way to make it browsable by clients? Appletalk was slowing down our network so we've turned it off. People HATE having

Here's a strange one... I've got a small office of computers, and since upgrading them to OSX I find that Safari does not auto-complete addresses. That is, if I type in simply 'apple' in the Address Bar, it doesn't add the www. prefix or the .com suffix. Any thoughts, before I

At my place of employment I am using Windows XP Professional, attaching to the network via Novell software, and Internet access is through a proxy server that filters out or blocks quite a bit of stuff, including useful Web sites and streaming audio.
