Files hsaring between OS 8.6 and OS X.3.604 Dec 2004 15:12 GMT4
Have a kind of interesting situation. I have a Powerbook 1400cs and an
iBook G4. Both have wireless cards installed.
I want to be able to send files directly from my G4 iBook to a
specific folder on the PB 1400 without actually touching the PB 1400.
Specifying DNS servers - or not03 Dec 2004 13:14 GMT4
I am using OS 10.3.6 and a graphite Airport base station on a dial up
line.  I can specify the DNS servers either in the Airport config, or

VCR and info can be found at http://www.wmrecorder.com/wmvcr.php
I would love to have something like this available for the Mac ...

Here's a strange one...  I've got a small office of computers, and
since upgrading them to OSX I find that Safari does not auto-complete
addresses.  That is, if I type in simply 'apple' in the Address Bar, it
doesn't add the www. prefix or the .com suffix.  Any thoughts, before I
Port Tunneling01 Dec 2004 20:16 GMT3
At my place of employment I am using Windows XP Professional, attaching to the
network via Novell software, and Internet access is through a proxy server that
filters out or blocks quite a bit of stuff, including useful Web sites and
streaming audio.
