Airport Extreme Firmware Upgrade21 Dec 2004 20:50 GMT7
I am a little confused about whether or not to flash my AE.  The
firmware upgrade is not for the graphite or "snow" versions.  Mine is
white.  Is that the snow version?  I also wonder how safe it is since
I've seen so many people give warnings about firmware upgrades.  Are

How to secure AirPort from intruders?17 Dec 2004 16:20 GMT16
I'm new to WiFi and just bought an AirPort Extreme. Can you tell me
how to set it up so that my neighbors or intruders can't see OR
enter my AirPort? It doesn't have to be the "most" secured; just
secure enough that anyone within range can't log on without a

DSL problems... any advice?16 Dec 2004 13:22 GMT1
I realize this is not especially Mac-related, but since most of my
network is Mac related I thought I'd give it a try.
I'm having a lot of problems with my DSL. My ISP has been out to fix it
three or four times, but it doesn't seem to improve.

I notice that when I search a newsgroup, that I can't do anything else
in thoth until the search is finished. Does anyone know if there is a
setting somewhere that changes this behavior? (using thoth 1.7.1 on
10.3.x)
Have I missed any postings?14 Dec 2004 19:40 GMT1
My ISP is BT and there have been no postings to this group since this
morning, which seems VERY light.
Could my ISP be playing up?
