I just ordered a BELKIN Hi-Speed USB 2.0 PCI Card to add
4+1 USB ports to this G4-450 AGP and wonder if any Mac devices really
use the USB 2.0 vs. 1.0.  I hope it will work as good as the current 2
port 1.0 generic USB card. I need more port and most devices are picky

I have Personal Web Sharing enabled and, if I enter the address given in the
Sharing control panel into my browser, I can access the files in my Sites
folder, apparently via the internet.
If I try the same thing from another computer the browser times out without

The reason I prefer to use Apple software is because (generally) they
can integrate their software to their hardware better.
Now Timbuktu is not very good as regards the quality of the displayed
screen image, of the remote computer's screen.

I have posted on this before but haven't been able to get the
information I need. I'm going to try one more time, trying to put
things as completely and accurately as possible.

Is there a way or some program (freeware) that will indicate the modem
connection speed on an ibook running Mac X 10.3

I am trying to find a wireless solution for a 2000-era iMac (350 Mhz,
slot-load Cd-ROM). The machine is running Mac OS 9.2 and the user
prefers not to upgrade to 10.x (software compatibility).

Is anyone having problems with the Airport Express joining existing 802.11b
wireless networks using WEP?
I can set the Airport express to create it's own network, with WEP using
either 802.11b or g and it works fine if I connect to it with my Powerbook,

What program do you like to use to synch your local web development
folder with your remote webhost?
iSynch (www.bluedays.com) seems good, but hasn't been updated lately.

Looking at Internet Config, the "Configuration:" menu has "Edit
Configurations" and "Other" entries, but they're both grayed-out. I can't
figure out how to get them enabled so that I can add new configs.
I have been using System Preferences > Network > Modem to edit Locations.

I have only noticed this problem the last few weeks.  Sometimes it is
worse than other times but I have not yet seen a pattern.  When I switch
back to iCab from another app, the iCab page will have turned blank.  If
I hit the scroll button, it will then redraw.  This is starting ...

I live in a rural area and the best dialup connection I get is 28800,
but I have several phone lines and multiple computers with modems, plus
a recent Airport with modem.
Any advice on what I need to set up in order to get an effective ~50k

I'm using Fetch 3.0.1 and have deleted directories from the "/" window,
but they continue to be shown in the pull-down Directories menu. How do I
get rid of these "phantoms?" Thanks for any assistance.
