The activity light on my cable modem and the rightmost light on the Airport Extreme base station connected to it flash almost constantly, even when all networked machines in my house are off or sleeping. Is this something I should be concerned about? What is the likely cause?

I've noticed that when an article has "charset=utf-8" in its Content-Type header, MT-NW uses a smaller font than normal. I went through all the text font settings in the Preferences and changed them to 10 points, but it didn't help.

Any reason I can't get my iBook to talk to a computer running WinXP, via a crossover cable strung between the Ethernet ports? In the "Connect to server..." command in OS X, I get a "-36" error code. File sharing is enabled for the My Documents folder on the XP
