Anyone successfully using this combination?
The Canon's been great plugged into the USB port of the MacBook Pro,
have just added the Airport, internet and Airtunes work fine.
The Airport Utility seems to intermittently recognise the Canon, but

When trying to install OS 9 the install process freezes with 8 minutes
to Go, and when trying to install OSX it comes up with a message saying
I need to restart. The message does not say why but I discovered it is
caused by a kernel panic.

I got hold of Leopard installation DVD and managed to install
Leopard on an external USB Harddrive for a Lenovo T60. The only
problem is can't get it to access the LAN port? I noticed the link
light on the port doesn't even come up. Could this be because it

I must apologise here, for I'm certain this is a real dummie question,

I bit the white bullet and bought a 1yr old MacBook. It's in nice
condition, but carries a feeble 512MB of RAM, which is OK for Tiger,

The G5 runs the standard version of OSX but I was wondering if there
is a 64 bit version to fully exploit the 64 bit power PC.

Is it possible to use something like Vmware to run Mac from within Linux?

Recent (mis)adventures searching the marketplace with a view to my
(rather late) acceptance of the principle of a portable computer have
left me completely jaded. I could find acceptable computers, but they
