Won't Shut Down! - iMac 800 G3 - TIGER OS X.4 Hello, I have an iMac 800 G3 17" flowerpot.... 768MB RAM... and I just installed Tiger OS X.4.1 ... and now it won't shut down.

I have a MacMini (OSX.4.11) that has decided it won't turn itself off fully without my pressing the button at the back after it has shut itself down (i.e., the light on the front has gone off). Additionally, I have it set to turn itself on at 8:00 am on weekdays and it now doesn't

Under Sys 9 it was easy - you could move sounds in and out of the Sound Effects areas (now under Sys Prefs in OSX) - but I would like to import a sound into Sound Effects and can't see how to do it. Can someone tell me if it's possible and if so, how?

You can do this by using the disk utility in OSX and image the 10GB drive to the 20GB drive. You will then be able to use the 10GB as a spare for backups etc. Select Go-Utilities-disk utility.

My iMac hard disk (500 GB) has recently been almost filled and I don't really know why. I first noticed the iDisk on the desk top indicating that I had a massive amount of free space (800 plus GB rather than a total of 10GB)

I have a Powemac G4 which came with a 10 gig hard drive. It has OSX 10.4 and Classic installed. The disk is full and I can't see any large files I can delete to free up space. I added a 20 gig hard drive as slave on the same controller
