I recently bought a TP-LINK router and USB receiver for the PC laptop,
and the USB receiver works fine with my Belkin router. Just plugged it
in and I was online through the Belkin. Then I thought that if I used
the USB receiver in my stepson's iMac he could go online from his study

I've just purchased a firewire external drive - it won't work as a
start-up drive like my other one.
Details:  Cooler Master X-Craft RX-3HA   USB/FIREWIRE enclosure with a
seagate 320 GB IDE 7200 RPM drive

I want to install Tiger from a DVD onto a 500MHz iMac which only has a
CD drive.
Can anyone suggest how I might be able to do this?

I've been away from this group for a while. Nice to be back.
Have a question about updating my iMac (G4 1Ghz, 17" PPC)  SuperDrive.

I had ben wanting to but an external hard drive from o/s, but hadn't
found any of the online stores that would ship such items to Oz. I'm
sure there must be, but in the bunch I looked at, no.  Bit of a surprise.

Does anyone know of something that when you add a song or album to Itunes it
will tell you that you already have it?
Like a file you add to folder and a "warning' pops up saying that "this file

Hi y'all
I want to know if there's an MP3 player that will work with a Mac that
ISN'T an iPod. I don't use iTunes either. I just want a player that the
Mac can recognise as a volume, and will upload mp3 files to.

I have upgraded my G4 tower to OS X 10.4.10, using DVDs I bought from
Apple (plus, I think, a couple of up-dates over the net).
I have kept the dvds in case I need to reinstall stuff - usual "last
resort survival situation" thing, although if I was ever in that
