I'm pondering the merits of using a Mac Mini in the theatre/games room
of my new house to pipie both MAME games and DVD video to a projector.
I'm wondering if there's some simple way of extracting Dolby 5.1
surround sound from a DVD being played by a Mac Mini?

I get sent video files from a PC in .avi format. Have tried QT, Real
and I movie but file type is not recognized. Anything else I can try
please ?

How come after verifying and fixing permissions that all my tab names in
excel have vanished and new ones will not save.

OK, received MacBook- sweet. OS 10.4.6.

i'm looking around for a gigabit interface, RAID 1 or RAID 5 equipped NAS
box with at least 350GB of storage space that is fully mac compatible.
Storage will be used for accessing large image files in an advertising
production office so speed and redundancy are a must.

I am running Windows 95B on a 12" PC compatibility card without the special external
video cable. I have an Apple M1212 monitor plugged into the MB and Windows seems
to work flawlessly. Should it work? Why is there so much hoo har about the special video
cable?

I'm looking for a way to download the photos from my phone into a Mac.
Shopping around is a road to despair, with people saying "Oh, a Mac

I am in a bit of a quandary. I want to connect a modem to my Power Macintosh
7500 but the modem port will only take a Geoport modem which I have heard
are no longer supported and had problems. Is there any way I can connect a
standard modem to my 7500?

Lately I have been wondering about connecting to this IVCHAT thing.
