Sometimes I can play internet video clips using Quicktime and the
Flip4Mac plugin but this does not seem to work for any of the videos on

Anybody who owns a Beige desktop G3 knows that it is impossible to add a slave
drive to the primary IDE controller using a standard cable due to the location of the
original hard drive. Is there a workaround?

I have an eMac which only has a CD-ROM drive. I want to upgrade to Tiger
from Panther. Tiger comes on a DVD-ROM which the eMac completely ignores.
I'm looking for ideas on how to get it upgraded. One option would be to
get a DVD drive for it, but I'm not sure how much dismantling ...

I am trying to back up a folder  to an external HD. I keep getting
messsage "this folder is locked". In Get Info I see it is not locked,
nor are any files in the folder. I have checked details in Get Info,
and all looks as if have right of read and write.

I´ve never installed any software to Mac, because I am using PC but now I
have to dot it to the work machine.I´ve .dmg - file, what should I do with
it, how to install?
