I wonder if anyone can throw some light on this peculiar thing that's
happened since I bought my MiniMac. I have the old iMac and a PC laptop
networked with it via a wireless/ethernet router. It may be coincidental
that it happened at the same time, but when I click on the network ...

Hooking up Dell monitor27 Mar 2006 22:42 GMT9
I am wondering if anyone has run a Mac Mini (or another Mac) using a
Dell monitor. I haven't done the research on this, but if someone has,
is the cabling provided with the monitor compatible with the Mac Mini,
or do you have to buy something extra to do that? Does it go through a
Buzz sound27 Mar 2006 11:19 GMT8
Recently my G4 tower has started making a little two-tone buzzing-beep
sound just as everything stops on shut-down. It's definitely coming from
inside the case. Sort of sounds: beep-beep, with the last beep a couple
of notes lower than the first. Not all the time - only when the

....the arrival of a new MacMini with everything working like clockwork!
I've bought a lot of new computers in my time, and this one is intended
to be an interim one until I get the one that *really* has everything.
But it is great to report that I unpacked this ridiculously small ...
Photo size in Mail27 Mar 2006 05:47 GMT3
When I send a photo in Mail I resize it to say 11x15 cm. But the image
when attaching to the mail message  is huge.  Is there any way I can
send an icon for the image rather than the image itself ?
DOS card in Powermac 7200/12022 Mar 2006 03:07 GMT3
I have a Powermac 7200/120 with a full length PCI card that is intended to allow the
Mac to run MSDOS and Windows. How do I boot the 7200 to DOS or Windows and
could that card be used in a Powermac G3?

osx mail20 Mar 2006 12:20 GMT1
I am going completely nuts!
I finally decided to try to integrate my life with all the good things
osx has to offer, by giving up on Eudora after many faithful years so I
could do things like accept appointments in iCal etc.
Airport20 Mar 2006 10:35 GMT9
I'm going to buy an iBook shortly and am wondering how to share our home
broadband internet connection with another computer. I'm not sure about
the difference between an Airport and an Airport Express. Do I still
need an ADSL modem to connect to the internet with these things or do
Ink20 Mar 2006 08:27 GMT1
Man I have found this site that has the cheapest ink for any printer.
You can compare prices and then review the companies on service and
quality. <http://www.imagraphix.com> Let me know what you think
Questions about an ADSL set up20 Mar 2006 04:12 GMT8
A friend wants to get ADLS and (naturally) wants to go wireless to save
the wiring efforts.
He has 2 old G3 iMacs, (400 and 500 Mhz)  - neither has airport cards.
iiNet has a deal where you get a Belkin 4 port wireless modem for
