anyone know how to get a 3.5" floppy disc out of a imac slot loader
drive? it won't eject and I can't reach the disc from the outside.

I have a G3 (800Mhz) iBook running 10.2.8
I can no longer view many Quicktime files because they require the
newest version of Quicktime.
I can't install the newest version of Quicktime because it requires a

Hello to all,
As the header suggests, DVD +R  Vs   DVD -R
My G4 laptop will only burn -R at 1 speed.
By way of contrast my external La Cie will burn both +R and -R.

I am using terminal to try and fix my permissions and I have noticed that it
always says I have mail , yet I check and no mail.
I use Entourage so, when it says mail does it mean mail as in the OSX Mail
program?

I have 10.3.9  on my system and x2 I tried to update Safari  with their
updates.
That latest one being 1.3.2.
I just tried the latest for 10.3.9 and still it doesn't work.

Interesting - Microsoft is now giving away, for free, flip4mac, which
allows you to play WMV files in quicktime player/any other quicktime
savvy app. Previously it cost USD10 from its makers, Telestream.

I have a problem with a friend's Power Mac 6200. While checking out the
monitor settings, we chose a resolution that the monitor can not handle.
This is evident by the fact that we just get a garbled display in the top
half of the screen. Doh !

I installed os 10.4.3 then installed successfully os 9.2.2 but when I choose
STARTUP DISC OS 9.2.2 and reboot into os 9.2.2
none of the cds I insert into either the internal slot loading or the
usb/firewire external  cd/cdrw/dvd drive are detected, will not mount onto
