I'm sharing at ADSL connection using a Belkin router between my iMac and
a PC laptop (PPPoE). The first time I plugged both of them into the
router, they seemed happy to share it the internet connection.
Thereafter, they seem only to work alternately. Connection with one

I now know the problem.  The help desk was very wrong!   I was running QTPro
V6.Something.  My wife bought an iPod and needed to download iTunes.  The
current iTunes requires QT7 which it automatically installs.  So the QT6

I can't properly repair my permissions on my iMac.  I run the Repair
Disk Permissions, it says all done and dusted OK...  and then when I
re-run the repair, it repairs the exact same ones..
