When I try to start the G4 the power button lights temporarily and then dies
out.
I am hoping it is not a blown power supply.
Any clues.

Tried to read a PDF file online on my iMac (OS 9.2 -- yes, I know!). It
froze IE several times so I tried opening Acrobat to see if I could view
PDF files kept on my hard disc.
Wouldn't open the. Said it couldn't find CoolTypeCarbonLib. But that

So I upgraded yesterday - did an archive and install. Here are my

I am using "APPLEJACK" on my Mac and x2 this thing has happened, my dock
icons has gone invisible on me.

I have restarted the machine, still not fixed.

I have an odd kinda problem which I can't seem to solve.
I have a MP3 player which is formatted for PCs. It can't be changed.
When I plug it into my Mac, I see it as a PC drive no problems. I can
transfer my music to it no problems.

Just noticed Scadinavian and Swiss iTunes Music Stores are open. They were
rumoured to open on 28/4 along with ours.

I have a G5 Mac and running 10.3.9 Panther.
I would like to get TIGER, but what I have read, Norton's Antivirus is
still not COMPATIBLE  with it.
A few other minor things , too but I expect this from a new upgrade but

I was given an old imac that was in storage because when they took it
out of storage the display apparently didn't work right. I took it home,
powered it up, and adjusted the display settings and it's usable (had to
shrink the display vertically and widen it horizontally).

Anyone know if there's a version of X11 X-Windows for Tiger?
X11 for Panther won't launch on my just-Tiger-ised TiBook DVI-667.

I'm still awaiting delivery of Tiger (ordered online, no local stores).  
Anyone have reports of when Tiger got delivered to remote areas?  With  
a holiday in the middle, maybe it will take another few days.

I am getting attachments from PC users in Mail (text only) called
"winmail.dat". All attachments are called the same.
Nothing I have will open those files: open Office, Appleworks, text
edit, graphic converter etc. even photoshop. Any ideas on a Mac app that
